Winter is finally starting to fade here in Minneapolis, but boy has the shift been brutal. Between the snow melt and rain this past week, the Midwest has been dealing with some extreme flooding, including in our basement (yay!). After seeing nearly 4” of standing water throughout our entire bottom floor, I am pretty much constantly daydreaming of summer, where the only H2O in sight will be in lakes and rivers. I mean, truly, doesn’t a beach sound nice right about now?
I was originally going to go with a flower-themed choice for March’s palette pick, but now that I’ve got sandy beaches on my mind, I’m switching things up.
Ecru, you’re in.
If you’re unfamiliar with this color, it is defined as “unbleached linen or silk, a light beige or fawn.” Essentially, it is the dreamiest, pristine sand imaginable. Being a neutral, it pairs well with anything, but I’m especially loving it in large swaths for a room. The subtle warmth in the tone feels perfect for spring/summer.
