DRUM ROLL Y'ALL..... The first 'street cred' shout out goes to: Blue Sparrow Coffee! You might be asking yourself:
WHAT THE HELL IS STREET CRED?
Unless you were born under a rock, you should know the term street cred, but in Quarter-Life Living terms, this emblem is reserved for places and spaces I stumble upon that have noteworthy style. As you'll see for yourself, Blue Sparrow Coffee here in Denver is teeming with it.
If you know me, you know I have a special place in my heart for Chai lattes. On a rainy day a few Saturdays ago, J and I decided to swing into a coffee shop to read for a little while in the morning. I'm an avid Yelper and saw that Blue Sparrow had opened the week before, so we decided to check it out.
This little spot is nestled in the RiNo district and is another shining example of why this area is fricking cool. Feast your eyes, and try to contain your jealousy if you aren't based in Denver.
Between the wooden cafe chairs, exposed brick, subway tile backsplash, and kraft paper roll menu, Blue Sparrow Coffee has me smitten. Beyond their tremendous ambiance, they also whip up a mean Chai and stream a killer playlist (Jackie Wilson, The Marvelettes, and Wilson Pickett to name a few featured artists). I have a feeling I will be back many, many times.
